Rules Regulations
1. A monthly game event will take place every month. There is no need to sign-up for this event as all teams are eligible. 2. There is no entry fee for this event. 3. The winner is determined by the team that wins the most games if they call the trump of the day. For instance: If the trump of the day is hearts, then if a team wins a bid in hearts, they will receive 1 red point on the scoreboard. The team that has the most RED points on the scoreboard at the end of the games is declared the winner. 4. At least one member of the team must be present to win. 5. The trump will be announced prior to the games. 6. Only one team can win the monthly game event. 7. The winning team will receive a prize (a prize for each player). 8. If more than one team is declared the winner, then a play-off is inevitable. 9. The Sgt. At Arms will establish a time limit for the games. Rev. 1/28/2000
1. The entry fee is $3.00 per team. 2. Participants are encouraged to sign-up prior to the games. However, the Assistant Treasurer will accept late entries. 3. The winner is determined by the team that made the most “Bostons” during the games. 4. At least one member from the team must be present to win. 5. If more than one team is declared the winner, then a play-off is inevitable. 6. Only one team can win the Boston Pot. 7. The club receives no %. All monies collected will go directly to the winning team. 8. A Boston counts as only 1 point. 9. The Sgt. At Arms will establish a time limit for the games. Rev. 1/30/2000
1. The entry fee is $2.00 per team. 2. Participants should sign-up prior to the games, however, the Assistant Treasurer will accept late entries. 3. The winner is determined by a number randomly selected by a member at the end of the games. Whatever team has won that amount of games, wins the “Mystery Pot.” 4. At least one member of the team must be present to win. If no team present has won that amount of games according to the number drawn, then another number is pulled at random. This process continues until a winner is declared. 5. If more than one team is declared the winner, then a play-off is inevitable. 6. Only one team can win the “Mystery Pot”. 7. The club receives no %. All monies collected will go directly to the winning team. 8. The Sgt. At Arms will establish a time limit for the game. Rev. 1/28/2000
1. The members should bring their membership card to every meeting/game. 2. Monthly dues are paid at each meeting/game. However, members can pay their dues in advance (quarterly, bi-annually, annually). 3. The payment of dues can be either cash, check, or money order. However, there is a $10.00 penalty for all returned checks. If a check is returned twice, it will result in a forfeit of your membership. 4. If dues are not paid within 90 days, the member will not be allowed to participate in any club activities, (including tournaments) until dues are current. Note: There are no refunds on previously collected dues. 5. A person must attend at least 2 consecutive meetings prior to becoming a member. Upon attending the 3rd meeting, the Sgt. At Arms will make a recommendation based on the information received. 6. All proceeds from club fund-raisers will go directly into the club funds as Club 2000 is a non-profit organization. 7. The recycle bins will be available at every meeting/games. All cash redemption’s will go directly into the club funds. Always check with the Assistant Treasurer or Vice President prior to leaving recyclable items to ensure proper credit. 8. Each member is entitled to only one T-shirt. 9. All members are assigned a club number which they will maintain the duration of his/her membership. 10. Meetings/games will be held the 3rd Saturday of each month. The new location and time will be announced at every meeting/game. Monthly meeting cards will be distributed to each member as well. 11. Members in need of transportation to the meeting/games must contact the transportation committee at least 48 hrs. prior to the next meeting/game. 12. Each member will be required to host at least one meeting/game at a location of their choice until the club can establish a permanent location. It will be permissible for members to combine their resources. Each member will receive credit for their joint effort. 13. If members are charged a fee for food, drinks or any other item at a meeting/game, 10% must go directly into the club funds as it’s members are providing the revenues. 14. The club will not serve any alcoholic beverages. However, members can bring their own wine, wine coolers or beer. Strictly no “hard” liquor (Cognac, Bourbon, Gin, Vodka, etc.) allowed at any time. 15. Due to numerous members, only snacks will be served at the meeting/games. We ask that each member bring a beverage or an edible item to help accommodate the host/hostess. 16. The meeting/game will take place “rain or shine”. 17. All members are required to check-in upon arrival. 18. Visitors can participate in the monthly club activities (monthly game event, mystery pot, Boston pot, etc.) however, they will be required to pay the monthly dues ($5.00) as the club will consider them a potential new member. 19. The Sgt. At Arms will write a report and the decision rendered on each discrepancy/incident. 20. If a person arrive without a partner, then that person can either choose a partner from whomever is available, or the Sgt. At Arms will appoint him/her one. Thus, if you are dissatisfied with your appointed partner, then the club will recommend you bring your own partner. 21. All donations, volunteered services, or any other good Samaritan deed, will be documented. The information received will be utilized when determining the candidate(s) for “The Annual Most Valuable Member Award”. 22. All club members must seek approval from the Assistant Treasurer prior to purchasing any items for the club. 23. The Suggestion/Complaint Box will be available at every meeting/game. All suggestions/complaints will be given careful consideration. Anonymity is optional. 24. All scores will be tallied and double checked prior to the distribution of all cash awards and/or prizes. 25. The Sgt. At Arms will specify the time limit for the monthly games as well as the tournaments. If a discrepancy arise, the clock will automatically stop. The time spent deliberating will be restored accordingly. Note: The club reserve the right to revise and/or modify the club regulations at any time if deemed necessary. Rev. 2/2/2000
