Biography

My Life

Born in Nuremburg, Germany, I grew up on the east coast, traveling all over the east and living in several places I consider home. I started performing as a child in church while visiting my Grandmother in Ohio. My father, Willie (who was in the military) and mother, Jean, along with my brothers all came out to California in 1984.

Amazed with finally being in the one city I’ve always dreamt of living in, Los Angeles became my new home and I quickly began my search for the perfect stage. I started writing, recording and performing at many venues throughout the LA area. Most recently performing in Palm Springs (every chance I get), I recently ended a series of Jazz Wednesday’s at De Vinci’s of Beverly Hills and currently I am performing/hosting at Papa West, Soul Food Café monthly.

Why I Sing...

A really good friend asked me, why do I sing? I’ve never asked myself this question and never really put much thought in to it because I feel it’s something I’ve been doing since birth, even before I could talk I felt I had music in my soul. My dad has a beautiful voice and we were always surrounded by music growing up, it just seemed so natural. But if I had to answer that question, I would have to say it allows me to speak my mind, my heart.  In a world with so many people, the one thing we all have in common is that we all have a desire to be heard. Singing gives me a Voice…
